In last Fridays league game; the Broadneck Bruins were able to keep their undefeated season alive by knocking off the Glen Burnie Gophers in a final score of 26-7.

This contest featured sloppy rain conditions so both teams relied heavily on running the football to be successful.

However, the difference in the game was Broadnecks ability to gain 286 yards rushing on 327 yards of total offense, while Glen Burnie was limited to only 140 yards of total offense.

Broadneck‘s rushing attack was led by their versatile receiver, Andre Woods Jr. The Bruin’s coaching staff did an excellent job of developing packages to get him the ball in space and he delivered.

Consequently, Glen Burnie’s defensive efforts had no answer for stopping Woods on run/pass options all night. Particularly, in the second half when he electrified his teammates on a 68-yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter to give them a 12-7 lead.

Defensively, Broadneck was able to stop Glen Burnie when they needed to by recording one interception and one forced fumble.

Broadneck will now look to improve to 10-0 as they prepare for an away conference game against Annapolis this Friday, November 2 at 6:30 pm.
