It was yet another week full of recruitment announcements across the DMV area. As prospects had announcements ranging from college commitments to players receiving their first D1 offers. Specifically, the reveal of what new college offers recruits have been receiving over the last week continue to persist. With players around the area generating consistent interest from college programs across the nation. This article will look to provide updates on some of the players who received offers from colleges this past week. Offers that either add to the total number a player has already acquired or players attaining their first official D1 offers.

The first player to mention is BJ Howard of Northwest High School. As this Class of 2021 free safety/wide receiver prospect received his first official D1 offer this past week from Saint Francis University. It is always a great experience for a recruit to garner their first official D1 offer. As it showcases a major step in their recruiting process, and begins to validate the hard work the recruit has put in.

The next recruit to mention is Bryce Barnes of Quince Orchard High School. This Class of 2022 defensive back attained his first D1 offer this past week from the University of Michigan. As the talented and young DB has a big-name school already showing interest as he still has two years of his high school career to complete. This shows the talent he has by drawing intrigue from for a Big 10 powerhouse. Likely the first of many more to come for this player.

Bryce Barnes teammate Ryan Barnes at Quince Orchard received a new offer this past week as well. With Barnes receiving an offer the University of Oregon in the Pac-12 Conference. This adds to already a quality list of college programs including NC State, Syracuse, and Michigan State. As this 3-star recruit continues to garner interest from a variety of D1 programs.

Another player who received their first official D1 offer this past week is Andrew Jacobs. As this talented St. Frances wide receiver received an offer from the University of Tennessee. Getting a big look from an SEC program validating his hard work and production on the field already. This 5’11” 190 lbs. receiver is part of the Class of 2022 and has much more to show before even choosing his eventual college to play for. Though this young man is off to a nice start in his recruiting process by attracting such a big-name program.

The final player to mention in terms of offer updates is Quarterback Billy Atkins of Mount Saint Joseph. The class of 2021 signal caller received 4 new offers this past week adding to his growing total. The schools who extended offers to him were James Madison, Rhode Island, Columbia University, and St. Frances University. These schools put Atkins total offers up to 9. As the QB continues to garner interest from college programs. Atkins with a strong coming senior season should only open more eyes on the scouting scenes and generate more interest of his services.
