This week already has seen many developments arise in terms of DMV recruitment. With players from different classes revealing or announcing updates on their recruiting process from their school lists to their commitments. Several DMV area players have provided new information specifically on them narrowing down their top schools. While others have announced when they will be officially committing to a college program. These are all intriguing developments for a bevy of high school football players in the area. That is why this piece will look to presents several of the recent updates for DMV recruitment across the area. Presenting which recruits are making these decisions and the impact some of them could have on the recruiting landscape.

The first player who had a big reveal recently was Gonzaga Quarterback Caleb Williams. As the Class of 2021 5 star-QB revealed his final 3 schools that he is considering for his eventual commitment. These schools being Oklahoma, LSU, and the University of Maryland. Each of these schools being apart of one of the Power 5 conferences provide great opportunities on a big stage for this talented QB. Now many waits to see when he elects to make his decision in terms of his commitment.

The next player to mention is St. John’s High School Offensive Tackle Kyrik Mason who revealed he had officially hit the 20-offer mark in terms of college offers. With his offer this past May 4th from North Carolina Central this put up to 20 offers from different college programs. With schools like Buffalo, Towson, Georgetown, Morgan State, on his list he has plenty of options to mull over going forward.

Another player who made a big announcement in terms of his recruitment is Katron Evans of St. Frances Academy. This 4-star defensive tackle announced he will be committing to University of Tennessee. Other schools under close consideration were programs like Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Alabama, and USC among his top 8 schools.

 

St. Frances Defensive Back Jamal Hood officially committed this past Wednesday. As he revealed he committed to Boston College University. A noticeably big development for this Defensive Back who now will look to finish his high school career on a strong note.

St. Frances Offensive Lineman Delfin Castillo announced his top 8. The schools include were Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Liberty, Buffalo, Syracuse, Tennessee, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and Alabama. A star-studded list of top college programs to choose from and Castillo certainly will look to have a strong coming campaign to transition to the college level on a great note.

Overall, all these updates continue to display how busy the recruiting scene remains in the DMV area. As recruits continue to make huge decisions and announcements. Moving the recruiting process across the area along at a steady pace.
