There was plenty of news regarding high school football prospects college commitments and top schools’ lists. As many talented DMV area prospects have made major announcement in the recent week plus about their recruitment processes. The major news being a bevy of recruits announcing either their college commitment or presenting their top schools. These are always intriguing sets of information to discover during the recruiting process for prospect. As it provides a lens to view where most of these talented players are at in their recruitment process. This piece will look to provide information on multiple recruits who have made college commitments or Top schools list exclamation recently.

            The first player to mention is Zakee Wheatley of Archbishop Spalding. This talented 4-star recruit per Rivals.com, officially committed to Penn State University. This young defensive back /receiver has the tools to be a major difference maker at the college level. Now that he has committed to Penn State a place who has produced many defensive prospects this is a great move for him. As Penn State now has acquired quite a few talented prospects over the last couple of weeks.

            The next player to mention is Katron Evans of St. Frances Academy who officially announced his top eight schools. The 4-star defensive tackle had a variety of schools on his list, with planet of top notch D1 Programs. The schools include Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, USC, TCU, and Arizona State. A list of some of the best programs in the country. Including schools that have produced big time NFL defensive lineman like Florida, Auburn, and Georgia. Evans certainly has plenty of options and only time will tell how this list further narrows.

     Donte Thornton Jr. also released his Top 12 Schools recently as well. The talented Mt. Saint Joseph receiver at 6’5” 195 lbs. is a physical specimen any of the 12 schools he presented would want. The schools include Virginia, Michigan, Florida State, West Virginia, Notre Dame, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, Penn State, Oregon, and Arizona State. An impressive list that many will watch to see how it narrows over time. This long and athletic pass catcher has plenty of suitors. Now we can only anticipate his next reveal in terms of his recruitment.

            Receiver recruit Kaden Prather announced his Top Schools last week. The schools being Penn State, Maryland, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and West Virginia. All these would be great choices and for this playmaking pass catcher he has decisions to come. However whichever school gets him will be ecstatic to have his services.

Bullis School Quarterback Christian Veilleux has committed to Penn State. PSU has produced quarterbacks who have played at the next level. Either way this talented QB brings all the skills and attributes you want in a leader of your offense.
