Final Score: Gonzaga wins 47-8 over Avalon

Gonzaga remained undefeated on the season with a 47-8 home win versus Avalon. As Gonzaga dominated the Wheaton, Maryland high school team from start to finish. The win moved Gonzaga to 4-0 on the season, while Avalon fell to 2-3 on their campaign.

Gonzaga put the game away early scoring 40 of their 47 total points in the first half of the game. Quarterback Caleb Williams had another strong game posting 3 touchdown passes.  They were balanced offensively putting over 100 yards rushing and 200 yards passing. They put together multiple long drives, while also making big plays. While the Gonzaga defense allowed just a late garbage time touchdown to Avalon was overmatched throughout the night.

Avalon struggled to get anything going offensively, especially through the air. As their passing attack could not muster any significant gains all evening. This also ruined their rushing attack which was stacked up and halted all game. They also turned the ball over multiple times which made life no easier against a high-powered Gonzaga team. With no ability to sustain drives, this made life even harder on their defense. This unit could not find a way to slow down the Gonzaga attack and were worn out by games end.

Gonzaga now will put their perfect record on the line as they host Tampa, Florida based high school, Plant. While Avalon will look to get their season back on track against Royal Institute, based in Landover, Maryland. Looking to stop their losing stretch at 2 and get to .500.
