This past week in the DMV area brought another set of news and notes to update on. News and Notes on the happenings in the DMV area for young recruits in a multitude of facets. Whether it be signing with colleges, other offer updates, or even school visits the DMV was once again active on the High School Football scene. Which is why this article will look to provide information on all the happenings in the region.

The first bit of news to bring up Class of 2020 and North County QB John Hardcastle officially signed with a college. This college being McDaniel College located in Westminster, Maryland. So, congratulations to this this young signal caller. As he now transitions from a solid High School career to hopefully budding college career.

The next set of notes deals with Quince Orchard defensive back Ryan Barnes. This talented DB had an eventful week as he received a new college offers and had 2 university visits. The school he received and offer from was The Georgia Institute of Technology or Georgia Tech for short. The two universities he had the opportunity to visit this past week were Clemson University and the University of Tennessee. Both well regarded College football D1 programs.

Quarterback Brian Plummer of Quince Orchard High School received his first Power 5 offer from the University of Maryland this weekend. An exciting time for the Class of 2021 QB and hopefully with a strong season this year he can drum up further interest in his services.

Offensive Lineman Tristian Leigh had a visit earlier this past week with the University of Virginia. As the top Offensive lineman on the high school level in Virginia gave his home College a visit. Time will only tell if this young recruit elects to stay local.

Defensive Back William Simpkins III also had a visit up to Virginia. A good young DB that could help their defense down the road. Though we will have to wait and see if he as well decides to stay local.

Defensive lineman Marcus D. Bradley received an offer from Arizona State this past week. Adding to the continually growing numbers of schools interested in the lineman’s services.

Then finally the last bit of news is Landon Tengwall of Good Counsell has announced his final two in terms of college choices. These two being Notre Dame and Penn State as per 247sports.com These are certainly two intriguing choices and he could not go wrong with either one. It will now be a waiting game to see which schools by the end of his senior year is lucky enough to acquire his services.
