This past week we also had two key updates for two prospects in the DMV area. As two prospects had interesting announcements in terms of their recruiting process. These key updates provided some very interesting information in terms of where both are at in their processes. This article will look to present the key updates these two prospects put out. While detailing what this means possibly for their career at the next level.

The first prospect to discuss is defensive back William Simpkins III of Quince Orchard. This young defensive back recently had two college visits lined up as he continues with his recruitment process. The first he had was with Duke university went on without problem and as he put on his social media was a great experience. His second visit though was postponed due to certain unfortunate circumstances. This development does show that Simpkins is at a key stage in his recruitment journey. As he now is visiting several of the universities that have offered his scholarship, trying to get a jest of their interest in his services. It will be key for Simpkins to keep his options open during this stage of the process. While also being mindful of determining what schools he favors for different reasons as he goes along. Now time will only tell where Simpkins ends up choosing to go to play football. Wherever he chooses in the end will be getting an impact player in the secondary.

The second prospect to bring up is Quince Orchard Defensive Tackle Marcus D. Bradley. As Bradley announced he will be revealing his top five schools in the near future. This shows how Bradley is beginning to officially narrow down his choices as to which college program he wants to join at the next level. As the number one defensive tackle prospect in Maryland he has plenty of choices from a bevy of programs. Whether it be Maryland, Florida State, LSU, Pitt, Texas A&M, among many others it will be interesting to see what his 5 are. This point he is at in his recruiting process really signals how close he is to committing to a program Now that final decision still may be far down the road, but this announcement shows a significant step toward said decision. With so many D1 powerhouses on his radar wherever he chooses certainly will be a top flight program. It will be interesting to see in the coming days what schools he ultimately decides on. As well as, it certainly will be big news around the DMV in general with the level of prospect he is.

These two updates are key to present because of the impact they have on recruiting in the area. Plus it shows that even during this down period the DMV is still bustling on the High School Football scene.
