This past Monday saw another DMV area recruit make his big decision in terms of his college commitment. As Defensive Tackle Terion Sugick officially announced where he will be continuing his football journey. The 3-star National Christian Academy product shows much potential to be a great impact player on the interior of a defensive line. Meaning the school, he came to choose in terms of his commitment is getting an exceptionally talented player. This piece will look to reveal what college program he will be joining. While detailing the player this school is getting in Terion Sugick.

The college Terion Sugick elected to commit to was Vanderbilt University. This school located in Nashville, Tennessee is part of the SEC Conference arguably one of, if not the best D1 Conference in College football. Meaning this school provides a great opportunity to Sugick to play against some of the best competition in the country at the college level. Plus, with Vanderbilt having endured 6 consecutive losing seasons leading up to the 2020 campaign it is a program in need of impact talent to turn around the culture. Terion Sugick is the type of player that can aid in their hopeful turnaround once he arrives.

The type of player Vanderbilt will be getting in Sugick is a 6’0” 240 lbs. and still growing interior presence on their defensive line. A player who displays all the skills coaches and scouts alike want to see in a disruptive interior defensive lineman. Sugick plays with great power and quickness which make him a matchup nightmare for opposing offensive lineman. He has the quick get off to shoot gaps in blocking schemes to get into the backfield. While showcasing the power to take on double teams on run defense to open space for his teammates. As well as, overpower opponents in one on one rush situations with his raw strength. Sugick has the technical skills to use his hands to and body to maneuver around or under lineman to create penetration as well. These skills continue to develop as he looks to add more to his arsenal as an interior pass rusher. Terion Sugick is a player has the ability once he joins Vanderbilt’s program to make an impact as a rotational defensive lineman. Then work his way up the ranks of playing time as he shows off his tools and playmaking ability more and more. Plus, with him being a particularly good student and hard worker one will not have to worry about a lack of worth ethic with this young man.

Terion Sugick adds to a continually growing list of players out of the DMV to commit to a college program. He is a talented player and a defensive prospect that still has room to grow further. With Sugick being a good leader and performer, he represents himself and team well in all matter of situation. Vanderbilt in the end is getting a player who will make an impact on their program both on and off the field sooner than some make think.
