Recently another commitment announcement was made by a talented recruit in the area. As Defensive Tackle Terion Sugick of National Christian Academy announced he would be announcing what College he would be committing to on April 20th. This is big news for the 3-star recruit, per Rivals.com Rankings, to reveal and is interesting to think about. As Terion Sugick after announcing his Top 5 schools at the beginning of the month, now seems ready to choose where his football career will continue. This piece will look to present the Top 5 schools he revealed earlier this month he had in consideration. As well as, depict the schools he has narrowed his offer choices down to. Then describe the player one of these future programs will be acquiring.
The first part of his recruitment advancement came when he officially announced his Top 5 schools at the beginning of the month. These being the University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida, Wake Forest, University of Maryland. All of these are highly thought of Division 1 schools and provide a litany of opportunities for Sugick. Maryland would allow him to continue his football career in the area. While schools like Florida and Tennessee provide him a chance to play in the SEC Conference which is one of the best college football conferences in the country. All these schools are good choices but as we now know Sugick has narrowed his decision down to three options. Two of which are from this quintet and one school not a part of this group.
The next recent step in his recruitment process he has completed is narrowing down his options. As Sugick has come down to three schools who have offered him scholarships. The first two being Vanderbilt and Wake Forest who were both part of his Top 5 schools mentioned earlier. The third and final school being NC State who he had an offer from but was not originally one of his top choices initially. These schools are now all hoping this talented interior defensive chooses them to continue his football aspirations. Any of these programs would be a great choice, with each having a pipeline of producing quality defensive lineman. IT will be interesting when he makes his decision on April 20th who will Terion Sugick choose.
The last thing to discuss is Terion Sugick’s skillset and what these schools are hoping to acquire in his services. Sugick is a tremendous space eater on the interior of a defensive line. Showing the ability to take on double teams and still generate penetration in the middle. Sugick displays quickness and agility to maneuver and shoot gaps to make plays in the backfield. Sugick does a good job batting passes at times as well showcasing some sneaky athleticism. Sugick for whatever college he chooses will provide them a defensive force on the interior of their defense. Providing consistent effort and pressure on the interior and making the players around him jobs easier as he takes on multiple bodies. This type of big and physical, yet agile and athletic defensive tackle is a commodity that is always in demand. Which ever school he chooses in the end is getting and impact player for their defense. Now we all await his decision to come next week.
